The Plastic and Designer Artist Maria Paula Holguin started her career since she was very young. Her interest to discover her inner world through art, took her to study deeply everything related to the visual arts and design in general. She practiced her studies at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, Colombia, and the Conservatory of Fine Arts in Cali, Colombia.
After she abandoned all contact with art for eight years, Maria Paula decided to return to create functional art pieces, this time without stopping until today. Her need to bring to reality her creative pieces took her to create her first workshop in an empty room that was left in her apartment, and was there in that little space where Almarte workshop was born, workshop dedicated one hundred percent to Functional Art.
With the passing of time and his creations, Maria Paula was able to grow her workshop a little more, and have the opportunity to share her artistic skills with other talented people, such as employees. A creative mind with fantastic and unique ideas, capable of decontextualize materials already created, and submit to the harmonious and artistic sensibility that only a human can provide us is what defines this great designer, who is Maria Paula Holguin
